Not a ride but a nice walk!

Walked into LE this morn and on the way back came the canal way home. Beautiful day really hot and there were 2 swans and their little ones. Well worth a pic!

Then instead of walking the last bit down Fields Farm Road I saw a footpath that took me all the way to the crossing passing a pond that I did not know was there! Brill!

Me and Jo out on a Brit bike for the first time!

Another day, another ride! But no this is not just another day, this is the hottest day of the year!! It was 20 degrees and you just had to be out for a ride today!! Couldn't take the Kwak has it has an electrical fault and will not be looked at till next Tuesday but Andy being the true mate he his has leant me his 57 BSA to ride when I want. I took Jo to Stenson Lock, our favourite place place for coffee and cake and she loved being on the back put, putting along and enjoying it! Excellent day!!

Dirtquake 19/05/2012

Amazing day watching the unexpected!! A pie leading a load of choppers around a speedway track before they raced! Some great bikes, literately all types. Rode with Jim, Sally, Andy, Tracy and Walter on 5 bikes with Grant & Louise preferring to travel by car. The one slight moan is the weather, bloody cold!!

Thundersprint

Had a great day out in Northwich for the 2012 Thundersprint. At one point there was going to be 15 of us riding up together. In the end this didn't happen but because I was looking forward to it I rode up myself. Rode the quicker way there as the wind was quite cold. Went straight up the A50 to Stoke then then up to Kingsgrove then across to Nothwich.
There were many, many bikes there when I arrived parked all over the town, all the pedestrian walkways seemed to be full of bikes. Really great to see just how many different kinds there were. From very old standard and restored to new bikes and customs.
Had a walk round first taking in all the stores and shows then for back to the centre for the parade.
This was great there was about 70 bikes that went round the town twie.
After had a hit more looking around before watching the Sprint. Great stuff! Watched the first 3 rounds before heading back to the bike for the rider home. Took the long way has the sum was shining, went across to Leek and then through Ashbourne back to Derby. A lot nicer ride on some good roads thought the countryside. All on all just over 150 miles.
Went and picked Jo up then and headed to the Coppers Arms for a pint of Doom Bar, great way to finish the day!!!
